A Toledo native and small business owner, Joe McNamara has served as a Democratic City Councilman since 2006, including two times as City Council President. Both times, Council passed the city budget early and unanimously, while preserving city services we rely on. Joe’s bold advocacy for progressive values and unwavering dedication to working class families has earned him a reputation as a leader who gets results. Joe helped create the Northwest Ohio Advanced Energy Improvement Corporation that’s creating hundreds of green jobs in the area. And he has demanded transparency in government so that City Hall is accountable to the people again.
